TRAILERS (film)
Hi everybody today I want to talk about TRAILERS because I think is one of the most important thinks in film and in the promotions of movies. The term "trailer" comes from their having originally been shown at the end of a feature film screening, in general the trailers didn´t last too long there are just an advances of a movie that is not show on screen yet. The first trailer shown in a U.S. movie theater was in November 1913, when Nils Granlund produced a short promotional film for the musical The Pleasure Seekers. Trailers consist of a series of selected shots from the film being advertised. Since the purpose of the trailer is to attract an audience to the film, these excerpts are usually drawn from the most exciting, funny parts of the film but in abbreviated form and usually without producing spoilers. For this purpose the scenes are not necessarily in the order in which they appear in the film. A trailer has to achieve that in less than two and a half minutes, the maximum length allowed by the MPAA. Each studio or distributor is allowed to exceed this time limit once a year if they feel it is necessary for a particular film.

I really like trailers, for me they are cool because in that way the director try to show us the main plot or the main theme of the film. I specially like comedy trailers, because of the mood that this kind of movie show us.
